Hi! I’m Michelle, the owner and sole photographer for Photography by Michelle Hires.

 

Thank you for stopping by!  I am a portrait and wedding photographer located in Southern New Jersey with roots in Cape Cod, MA.  I am available for sessions in the greater Southern New Jersey area, Philadelphia and beyond.

I started learning photography in 2009 with the help of an endless supply of online forums and tutorials.  Very early on in my education, I realized that I wanted a bit more formal guidance and structure.  It was at this point that I also began my life-long dream of getting a college education by embarking on a journey to achieve a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Photography.
My other passion in life is my family.  My husband Brian is a retired member of the United States Army and we have the most delightful 14-year old daughter, Hope.  We have traveled from Washington, DC to Hawaii, to Arizona, to South Carolina, Europe and are now setting down roots in Southern New Jersey.
